The Stride Center is a non profit social enterprise working to empower economic self-sufficiency for individuals and communities in the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento. We are harnessing the power of technology and the digital economy to help men, women and families on the road to self-sufficiency and independence.

ReliaTech

Our ReliaTech enterprise delivers low cost technology support and technology tools to underserved communities while providing jobs and paid internships to a growing number of Stride students and graduates -- ultimately launching low income adult trainees into well paying careers in the ICT field.

Training

The Stride Center’s technical training program includes three levels of technology training from beginning to advanced, designed to provide an entry point for individuals with varying levels of skill, while at the same time, provide sufficient training opportunities to ensure graduates are fully prepared for successful careers.

Student Services

The Stride Center doesn’t just train its students in ICT – it prepares them in every aspect for a new career. Our team understands the barriers students face to finding a good job and we operate a “high touch” program where students meet with advisors every other week throughout their training to keep in touch and discuss skills beyond technology.

Molota Brigham

After years as an EMR/EMS medic and wildland forestry firefighter, Molota heard about The Stride Center from a friend in the UCSF IT department. She had been wanting to start a career in technology, but, she says, “I felt that the industry was very vast, and I just didn’t know how to make that happen.”

Work Readiness

Besides obtaining technical instruction, life skills training, professional development, and career coaching that results in an internationally recognized credential, many of our alumni jointly triumphed over being formerly incarcerated, drug/alcohol addicted, homeless, gang involved, and hopeless. Learn More
